A majority of all diseases begin in the colon. Having a clogged colon can lead to numerous diseases including cancer.

But if you cleanse your colon, you can improve your health and feel better. Today you’re going to learn about colon irrigation.

In the first part of this video, I’m going to explain what a colon cleanse is.

After that, I’m going to talk about why a bloated colon causes sickness and why a cleanse is important.

And finally, I’m going to tell you different ways you can clean your colon today. So let's start with the first topic of today.

1. What Is A Colon Cleanse?

Colon cleansing is also known as colonic irrigation or colonic hydrotherapy. It involves flushing the colon with fluids to remove waste.

Most colon cleanses use water to loosen up the hardened stool. The ultimate goal of a colon irrigation is to help the digestive organs do their job in the best way possible.

It does that by removing things that get in the way and interfere with normal bowel functions.

Colon cleansing is not a new idea. People across the world have used the treatment for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Chinese and Indian civilizations practiced inner cleansing.

Each of these cultures realized the many health benefits of this natural treatment. The fact that it has endured for so long is a testament to its effectiveness.

Around the turn of the 20th century, the first present day colonic equipment saw the light. Up to the late 20's, many doctors had colonic systems in their surgeries.

Today, hospitals have for the most part replaced colonics with cheaper purgatives and laxatives. While the treatment has taken many forms over the centuries, the essence of the therapy is the same.

So let's talk about why you should do a colon cleanse. What are the health benefits and reasons you should do it?

2. Why Should You Do A Colon Cleanse?

So why is it important to do a colon cleanse? You need to do a colon cleanse if you become bloated. There are different reasons why you can become constipated.

What you eat affects your level of inflammation and nutrient absorption. If you eat a healthy whole food plant-based diet, you’re getting all the nutrients you need.

You will unlikely need a colon cleanse if you eat that food. A poor diet, however, will result in constipation more often than not.

Low-fiber food is often part of an unhealthy diet. Inadequate fiber affects digestion and the body’s ability to feel full. Animal products linger much longer in the gut than vegetables do.

The Negative Side Effects Of A Congested Colon

We live in a toxic world. Additives in our food, pesticides on our crops, and pollution all around is normal. Sometimes all that toxic buildup can take its toll on the colon.

And that affects your digestion and health. Your entire body becomes sluggish when your colon is full of toxic material.

As a result, it is unable to perform its day-to-day tasks. Your body does a good job detoxifying itself on a regular basis.

However, some toxins require some help to ease the removal. The colon is not designed to store large amounts of old fecal matter.

Old fecal matter is breeding grounds for harmful bacteria and dangerous parasites. The extra junk causes the colon to distend and expand.

A sluggish bowel can retain pounds of old toxic and poisonous fecal matter. 10-20 pounds is not unusual. In fact, a clean colon is essential in detoxing the body.

The liver is the main detoxifying organ of the body. One of its tasks is to filter out or neutralize dangerous drug residues and poisons from the blood.

It then clears them out of the body through the colon via the bile duct. But if you have a blocked colon it hinders that important process.

A clogged colon is like flushing a toilet full of toilet paper; everything backs up. The net result is sickness and disease.

Some symptoms of a congested colon include:  Constipation

  • Constipation
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Ulcerative colitis
  • Crohn's disease
  • Diverticular disease
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Colon/Rectal Cancer

Benefits Of A Colon Irrigation

Detoxing your colon releases undigested waste products from your system. Constant junk breeds bacteria. And when you unblock the path it improves the nutrient absorption.

Purging your colon of toxins allows energy from the intestines to focus elsewhere. A colon irrigation positively impacts the nervous system and relieves anxiety and fatigue.

A colon cleanse promotes:

  • Digestive function
  • Decreases constipation
  • Cleanses the skin
  • Removes parasites
  • Eases headaches&migraines
  • Energy increases
  •  Eliminates gas& bloating
  • Eases allergy
  • Eases weight loss
  • Relieves back and joint pain

Millions of people over the years have found relief from doing colon cleanses. When done in a safe way they shouldn’t pose many risks. But there are times when you shouldn't perform a colon cleanse.

When You Shouldn't Do A Colon Cleanse

You should never take part in a colon cleansing program if you suffer from:

  • Diverticulitis
  • Crohn's disease
  • Tumors in rectum or colon
  • Ulcerative colitis
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Heart disease
  • Kidney disease

If you have these problems, then you should change your diet first to heal from these diseases.

If you are not sure whether a colon cleansing is safe for you, please talk to a doctor or health professional. You have now come to the final part of this video. I'm now going to explain how you can do a colon irrigation.

3. How To Do A Colon Cleanse

There are two main categories of colon cleanses, colonics and enemas. So let me go through the different colon cleanses you can do. I will start with colonic irrigation.

Colonic hydrotherapy uses a high quantity of water to flush the colon. It requires the most water of all colon cleanses. Of all colon flushes, they’re the most thorough, since they target the entire colon.

The drawback is that a professional outside the home has to perform them. Because of that, they can become expensive since each session can cost $50 or more.

Each treatment can take about one to two hours in total. There are several types of colonics available. The most common ones use gravity or a pressurized machine.

A gravity colonic uses water that enters the colon by force of gravity, as opposed to a device.

Pressurized colonics uses a machine to control water flow, which makes them a bit less gentle.

What Happens During A Colonic Session?

During a colon irrigation, you lay flat on a table.

The professional then inserts a lubricated, small speculum into your colon.

They then attach it to two tubes that control the in- and outflow water.

The practitioner massages the abdomen to help break up the stool and relax the muscles.

You might also be able to view what’s coming out if you’d like to. After the colonic is over, you can use the bathroom until you’re comfortable.

Compared to colonics, an enema can be used in the comfort of your home. If you are not comfortable with visiting a specialist, then it is a great option.

Enemas are useful for a quick fix. However, they only flush loose fecal matter in the lower part of the colon. Enemas work by cleansing the colon by using small bags. They’re also inexpensive.

You can buy kits at any drug store. Compared to colonics, they’re usually milder and target a specific region of the colon. If you want to do more powerful enemas, then there are some good products to look out for.

One good product is Colema Board.

Colema Board

The Colema Board Kit is an effective enema that is almost as good as a colonic. You can use it in the privacy of your own home. It is more thorough than standard enema bags. You will save a lot of money by not having to visit a professional.

So this is how to use this method.

How To Use A Colema Board

  • 1. You first place the Colema Board over a toilet and support the head end with a sturdy chair.
  • 2. You then fill the 5-gallon (19 liters) bucket with luke warm water and position it 24 inches (60.96 cm) above the board.
  • 3. After that, you assemble the tubing and start the water flow and release air bubbles.
  • 4. You then lubricate and insert the plastic disposable tip no more than 2-3 inches into the rectum.
  • 5. And then you open the clamp to begin your enema.

Your colon fills up with water. When you feel full, you evacuate your bowel and bladder without removing the tip or getting off the board.

After each session, you remove the rectal pipe and clean the unit. Your unit can last for years if you take good care of it. Another product I recommend is My Perfect Colon.

My Perfect Colon

My Perfect Colon is an innovative device that will allow you to cleanse your colon in the comfort of your home. One unique feature of this system is that it connects to the bathroom faucet.

This allows you to perform an intestinal cleansing while seated on your toilet. My Perfect Colon functions without batteries or electricity and is easy to use. Because you use the faucet, you can cleanse the colon longer.

One thing I like about this system is that it is easy to clean. It is compact and fits in a convenient carrying bag.

You can use My Perfect Colon while traveling thanks to the quick universal ADDY adapter. It performs well and is affordable.

Today you learned that:

Your entire body becomes sluggish when your colon is full of toxic material. As a result, it is unable to perform its day-to-day tasks and lead to disease.

Colon irrigation uses water to loosen up the hardened stool, so it passes with ease.

The ultimate goal of a colonic hydrotherapy is to help the digestive organs do their job in the best way possible.

There are two main categories of colon cleanses, colonics and enemas.

A colonic requires that an expert performs the cleanse. And enemas can be done at home.
