What is an Alkaline Diet?
An alkaline diet helps to balance the pH-level of your body, including your blood and urine. All living organisms and life forms on earth depend on maintaining appropriate pH-levels. Many diseases and disorders cannot take place in a body that has a balanced pH.
Ph measures the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The whole pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, where 7 is neutral. If you have a pH level less than 7, your body is acidic, and a pH level of 7 or greater is basic or alkaline.
The ideal pH level is a bit more alkaline, between 7.3-7.45. On the pH scale, each number represents a tenfold difference from previous numbers.
For example, a substance that has a pH of 6 is ten times more acidic than something that has a pH of 7. A pH of 5 is one hundred times more acidic than something with a pH of 7.
To know if you’re too acidic you need to test your pH level.
How to Test Your pH-level
You can check your pH-levels by using a piece of litmus paper in your saliva or urine first thing in the morning. Do it before eating or drinking anything.
Buy litmus papers on Amazon or Ebay.com. On Ebay, you can get them straight from China and only pay a fraction of the cost compared to health stores.
The delivery can take longer than buying from health stores.
Litmus papers are simple to use. You tear one yellow strip from the pH-block and put it in saliva or urine. After a minute or less, the strip changes color.

You can measure your ph by using a litmus paper
You then compare the color of your litmus paper to the color guide. You want to be in the 7.0 range. Cancer patients can have a score of 4.5 or lower if their cancer is terminal.
If your pH-level is this low, then it's important to eat more alkaline food to raise it. Eating well is only one part of the puzzle. Stress inhibits the benefits of alkaline foods.
If you eat an alkaline diet, and the pH-levels don't improve, then examine other aspects of your life. For example your emotional state, vitamin D intake, sleeping habits and so forth.
Usually what you're eating is the biggest culprit. If you eat food that is more acidic, you lower your pH-level and create problems in your body.
What I’m going to tell you next will be mind blowing.
Why Cancer Can’t Survive In An Alkaline Body
Parasites alongside cancer can only live in an acidic environment. They play a significant role in helping your body during the toxicity crisis. If you want to reverse cancer, you have to make your body more alkaline.
Cancer can’t survive in a healthy body because it’s only part of a toxic and unhealthy state. It’s like ice that melts in the presence of heat.
When cancer has fulfilled its purpose, it's no longer needed and will go away.
Okay, so how do you raise your pH level? Continue to read, and I'll tell you right away.
Why Vegetables Make Your Body More Alkaline
I already talked about how vegetables are good against cancer in my other blog post. But why is a vegan diet the best thing you can eat? It's because nature intended humans to eat a plant based diet.
When you eat vegetables, your body can digest them well and create a normal pH balance. Plants contain high amounts of water and are easy to absorb.
Not every vegetable or fruit is alkaline. To eat an alkaline diet, you need to know which plants are the most alkaline.
The Most Alkaline Foods That You Should Eat
Certain foods are more alkali than other foods. Cruciferous vegetables are one of the most alkaline foods. They are plants of the family Brassicaceae.
Cruciferous Vegetables
- Cabbage
- Broccoli
- Brussel sprouts
- Kale
- Cauliflower
- Garden cress
- Bok Choy
Cruciferous vegetables are rich in glucosinolates. Glucosinolates break down during the digestion process and can prevent cancer cells growth. These plants rank as the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet.

Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that is excellent against cancer
Broccoli is one cruciferous vegetable that inhibits cancers and supports the digestive system. It's beneficial for the cardiovascular system, skin, metabolism, and immune system.
It helps the detoxification processes in the body, is anti-inflammatory and provides antioxidants.
Can Cruciferous Vegetables Prevent Cancer?
A scientific article examined many studies on cruciferous vegetables and cancer prevention. They saw a positive correlation between eating cruciferous vegetables and preventing cancer.
In the journal Pharmacological Research, they examined the effect of cruciferous vegetables and cancer.
A high intake of cruciferous vegetables lowered the risk of lung and colorectal cancer.
The Amazing Anti-Cancer Effect of Leafy Greens
Leafy greens are any vegetable that has leaves you can eat. They include dark greens, like kale and collard. But also the entire lettuce family and a variety of herbs, like parsley and cilantro.
Leafy greens also include dandelion, purslane, watercress and many others. They're full of vitamin A, C, K, folate and trace minerals. Moreover, they contain sulfur, potassium, calcium, and iron.

Spinach is exceptional if you want to raise your Ph-level
Dark leafy greens comprise of high amounts of minerals and are one of the best protein sources in plants. They are also known for their high amount of chlorophyll.
Chlorophyll is the pigment which gives plants their green color. It aids the transporting of oxygen and increases red blood cell production.
Leafy greens also strengthen and build muscle mass by providing all essential amino acids.
Smoothies and juices made of leafy greens help to nourish and cleanse the blood. They also purify the liver and lymphatic system.
Some leafy greens are cruciferous vegetables, like kale, cabbage, and bok choy.
Kale The Super Food That Scares Cancer Away
Kale is a leafy green and cruciferous vegetable that has excellent cancer-fighting abilities. Containing four glucosinolates which are great against cancer.
It's high in vitamin k, a and c, cholesterol-lowering and antioxidant-rich. Also useful in detoxifying the body.

Kale is one of the best things you can eat if you have cancer
Spinach is a leafy green that is rich in chlorophyll, an alkalizer, and a blood builder. High in vitamin K, A, manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, vitamin c, b2, e, calcium and more.
The American Institute for Cancer Research funded research on leafy greens. They say that the carotenoids in dark leafy greens can inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer.
These include breast cancer cells, skin cancer cells, lung cancer, and stomach cancer.
Fascinating right? But can you guess what food that you thought was acidic that have anticancer properties?
Lemons - The Secret Weapon Against Cancer
Even though lemons are acidic, it becomes alkaline when eaten. Lemons are rich in vitamin C, citric acid, flavonoids, B vitamins, calcium, and copper. They also contain iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and fiber.

Lemons and citrus fruits are alkalizing despite being acidic outside the body
Several studies show that lemons might have anti-cancer abilities. A study in Europe followed participants with different kinds of cancers. They consumed 150 grams of citrus several times a week.
The citrus proved effective in decreasing the risks of cancer, except for breast cancer.
Eating vegetables are good. But if you feed on common foods that are acidic then eating vegetables becomes useless. Before you want to eat an alkaline diet, you need to know which foods to avoid.
Dangerous Foods That Are The Most Acidic and That You Need To Avoid
So which foods cause the most acidity in the body? Acidic food includes meat, dairy, coffee, sugar or milk. Other things you should avoid are sodas, artificial sweeteners, flour, pasta and processed food.
When you eat meat, it stays in the stomach for 20 hours before it leaves. Humans ability to break down meat is poor compared to omnivores.
Meat is tough for your body to break down and makes it acidic.
Milk is for cows and contains the right balance for calves and not people. It's usually pasteurized and not made for us.
Why You Should Get Rid Of Processed Food
Processed food is toxic and acidic. The chemicals that they add to processed food are not something your body knows how to handle.
You have to remember that humans came from nature and only ate what it provided them. Even if we live in a modern society, we're not different from our ancestors that lived thousands of years ago.
Processed food include pre-packaged, preserved, refined, microwavable and tinned foods. Avoid foods that have a long shelf life, are take away, fast, meat, dairy, and frozen.

Processed food is highly acidic
Other acidic things are cakes, chips, burgers, tinned soup, granola- or chocolate bars. Pasta, ice cream, and white bread are other things to look out for. Also, avoid processed or fried oils, saturated animal fats, hydrogenated oils and trans fats.
If you drink sodas, then you will be up for a shock. What I tell you next might be disturbing.
Sodas Are 10 000 Times More Acidic Than Water
Soda's acidity is off the chart. Most soft drinks have a pH of about 3, making them about 10 000 times more acidic than pure water.

Soda is 10000 more acidic than water
If you could create a rule of all this, then it should be: Foods from animals or humans are bad. And plants from mother nature are good.
So what does this mean? It means eating more fruits and vegetables and avoiding animals sources and processed food.
If you download the alkaline food chart below you can see how much different foods affect the body. Okay, so let us summarize what we learned today and then take action to change your diet.
Summary
Today you learned that cancer cannot take place in a body that has a balanced pH.
I talked about why animal products and processed foods create an acidic environment that cancer thrive on.
And that cruciferous vegetables, leafy greens and other foods are the most anticancer. Furthermore you now know how to test you ph level.
All that you read about today is a waste of your time if you don’t install them in your life.
To make things easier for you, I have created five simple steps you can follow to raise your pH level. Follow them, and you will see the health improvements.
How to Make Your Body Alkaline in 5 Easy Steps

Action Steps
So go to Amazon or Ebay and search for ph litmus paper. There are different kinds of ph papers. Some can measure the whole 1-14 range, while others test a more narrow range from 4.5-9.
I suggest you buy a 1-14 level litmus paper and one in a closer range, to see smaller improvements.
Every morning on an empty stomach spit in a beaker or pee in it and measure your ph level.
The first things you should do is start eating more plant-based food. Like spinach kale, broccoli or some fruits.
Avoid all animal products or processed food. Eat home made food instead of junk food or processed food.
Don't buy cans, or warm up foods and make food from scratch.
